ALL SCHOOL PICTURE DAY: The RHS all school picture day will be Thursday, September 7th.All students must have their picture taken for their no cost Student ID card. Dorian School Photography picture packages will also be available for purchase.Picture packets will be sent home on the first day of school with your student. Checks for picture packages should be made out directly to Dorian. Picture retakes will be October 17th.
ANNUALS (YEARBOOKS): Yearbooks are available for $65.00. Yearbooks will be sold online and at the bookkeeper’s office during the following periods only: August 1st to September 8th and January 2nd to January 26th. Yearbooks cannot be purchased after January 26th. Students will need to keep their cancelled check or receipt.

ASB STICKERS/ID CARDS: ASB stickers cost $50.00. All students participating in any school activity are required to purchase an ASB sticker to be placed on their student ID card, which is issued at no charge. Students are required to carry their ID card with them during the school day and at all school events. ASB stickers also admit students to all home games for free and for a reduced price at away games, dances and student activities.
CLASS SCHEDULES/TEXTBOOKS/LAPTOPS: Class schedules for all students will be available on the first day of school. Laptops and textbooks will be distributed the first week of school. Students must bring with them a signed Student/Parent Laptop Agreement in order to receive their laptops. Forms and more information are available online and in the main office.
COUNSELING: Your last name determines your counselor. Counselors will be assigned no later than the first day of classes. Caseloads may shift for this school year. Please visit the Counseling section of the Redmond High School website for counselor e-mail addresses, additional information and helpful resources. Individual appointments for students and families will begin in mid-September when the appointment book is available.
EMERGENCY/CONTACT INFORMATION: Beginning in August you can update your student’s email address, phone number, emergency contacts and address online. To do this log onto Parent Access and click on Skyward Family Access. Click your student’s name and verify your student’s information. Make any changes necessary and click submit. (If you are changing your student’s address, please email email@example.com with scanned proof of your new address (e.g. a utility bill). Without that proof, your address will not be changed.) If you don’t have a Parent Access account, now is a good time to set one up. Just go to the Parent Access page on the district website for more information.
HEALTH CONCERNS: Students with any life threatening medical condition (seizures, asthma, cardiac condition, diabetes, allergy requiring an Epipen, or other significant medical condition) are required to have an Individual Health Plan (IHP), a signed Authorization to Administer Medication form for each medication, and their emergency rescue medications at school before the first day of school. If these are not received, the guardian will be called by the principal to pick up their student immediately. These forms and more information can be found on the LWSD website.
HIGH SCHOOL AND BEYOND PLAN: Did you know that completion of the High School and Beyond Plan is a graduation requirement?! The RHS counselors will be presenting High School and Beyond Plan lessons and activities to students during their homeroom classes. Then, counselors will meet with students individually for a progress and reflection meeting. We are excited to hear about our Mustangs’ future plans!
IMMUNIZATIONS: Students are required to be in compliance with immunization requirements at the start of each school year. Immunization requirements are listed on the Department of Health website. Please check with your student’s health care provider to verify your student meets the state immunization requirements.
MEDICATIONS AT SCHOOL: If a student requires any prescription or non-prescription medication while at school, an Authorization to Administer Medication form is required for each medication. The form must be signed by both the guardian and the Health Care Provider AND the orders must match the medication exactly. All medications must be brought to the school by the guardian. At the end of the year, the guardian needs to pick up the medication. Emergency rescue medications will not be released until the end of the last day of school. Any medications not picked up at the end of the school year will be destroyed.
OFF-CAMPUS PASSES: The Off-Campus Pass ONLY applies to leaving campus during lunch. These passes are only available to juniors and seniors who have no fines and no discipline issues. Juniors and seniors may print an Off-Campus Application from our website or pick one up in the main office.
PARENT ACCESS: Stay informed and involved in your student’s education through Parent Access. This is the way you can access your student’s classroom and gradebook information, view their attendance, add money to their lunch account, pay their class fees/fines and sign up to volunteer. Just go to the Parent Access page on the district website for more information and to register.
PARKING PERMITS: Parking Permit Applications for 2017-18 are available in the Main Office.
- Parking permit fees may be paid on-line beginning August 1st. Permit fees may be paid at the bookkeeping office beginning Tuesday, September 5th. The fee for a regular parking permit is $50.00 + $5.00 tax and for a part-time running start or carpool permit is $25.00 + $2.50 tax.
- Starting September 5th permits will only be issued to students with a completed 2017-18 Parking Permit Application form, a valid driver’s license (not a learner’s permit), no outstanding fines and a receipt for parking permit payment. Students must be present to receive the permit.
- Office hours for permits will be posted. Permits will only be available while supply lasts.
- Carpool applications must include at least two licensed drivers and both drivers must be present to receive a permit.
- Part-time running start students (attending some classes at RHS) may buy permits to park at RHS for $25.00 + $2.50 tax.
- Full-time running students or motorcyclists may receive free permits. Full time running students who do not complete the application and receive a permit are not allowed to park on the RHS campus during the school day.
SCHOOL LUNCH & BREAKFAST: Student breakfasts and lunches are available each day in our cafeteria. Please visit the Lake Washington School District website at http://new.lwsd.org/students-families/breakfast-and-lunch-menus for daily menus, pricing, to add money to a lunch account, or to monitor your student’s meal history through MySchoolBucks.com. Information on the Free or Reduced Lunch program can also be found at this site.
