Welcome to another great year at Redmond High School!

Below is an alphabetical list of everything you will need to know to get the 2018-2019 school year started off right.

2018-2019 Fees/Prices

2018-2019 FEES/PRICES: Use the chart below to select the items you will need and the method you would like to pay. Avoid long lines at the bookkeeper’s office and multiple checks by paying online!

All School Picture Day

ALL SCHOOL PICTURE DAY: The RHS all school picture day will be Thursday, September 6th.All students must have their picture taken for their no cost Student ID card. Dorian School Photography picture packages will also be available for purchase.Picture packets will be sent home on the first day of school with your student. Checks for picture packages should be made out directly to Dorian. Picture retakes will be October 16th.


ANNUALS (YEARBOOKS): Yearbooks are available for $65.00. Yearbooks will be sold online and at the bookkeeper’s office during the following periods only: August 1st to September 7th and January 7th to January 21st. Yearbooks cannot be purchased after January 21st. Students will need to keep their cancelled check or receipt.

Please Note: Yearbooks will not be refunded if you order more than one in error.

ASB Stickers/ID Cards

ASB STICKERS/ID CARDS: ASB stickers cost $50.00. All students participating in any school activity are required to purchase an ASB sticker to be placed on their student ID card, which is issued at no charge. Students are required to carry their ID card with them during the school day and at all school events. ASB stickers also admit students to all home games for free and for a reduced price at away games.


ATHLETICS: Online registration for fall sports will begin August 1st. In addition to registering online, students will need a current Sports Physical and a Medical History form on file. These forms can be found online or in the Main Office.


BUSSES: School will start at 7:30 a.m. The Lake Washington School District’s Transportation Office will mail a postcard 1-2 weeks before school starts to students who ride the bus with their bus information. Questions or concerns, please call our department of transportation at 425-936-1120.

Class Schedules/Textbooks/Laptops

CLASS SCHEDULES/TEXTBOOKS/LAPTOPS: Class schedules for all students will be available on the first day of school. Laptops and textbooks will be distributed the first week of school. Students must bring with them a signed Student/Parent Laptop Agreement in order to receive their laptops. Forms and more information are available online and in the main office.


All students are emailed a Weekly Student Bulletin each Thursday afternoon which includes upcoming events and important information.  These bulletins are posted on our website each Friday.  A Monthly Parent Newsletter is emailed to all parents at the beginning of each month which includes upcoming events and information.  You can also receive weekly information directly from the PTSA by signing up for their Mustang Weekly newsletter.


COUNSELING: Your last name determines your counselor. Counselors will be assigned no later than the first day of classes. Caseloads may shift for this school year. Please visit the Counseling section of the Redmond High School website for counselor e-mail addresses, additional information and helpful resources. Individual appointments for students and families will begin in mid-September when the appointment book is available.

Daily Schedule

Our new school hours are 7:30 a.m. – 2:20 p.m. (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday) and 7:30 – 12:50 on Wednesdays.  This year we are moving to a 7 period day.  You can access our Daily Schedule along with any special bell schedules on the Daily Schedule page of our website. 

Emergency Contact Information

EMERGENCY/CONTACT INFORMATION: Beginning in August you can update your student’s email address, phone number, emergency contacts and address online. To do this log onto Parent Access and click on Skyward Family Access. Click your student’s name and verify your student’s information. Make any changes necessary and click submit. (If you are changing your student’s address, please email with scanned proof of your new address (e.g. a utility bill). Without that proof, your address will not be changed.) If you don’t have a Parent Access account, now is a good time to set one up. Just go to the Parent Access page on the district website for more information.

Health Concerns

HEALTH CONCERNS: Students with any life threatening medical condition (seizures, asthma, cardiac condition, diabetes, allergy requiring an Epipen, or other significant medical condition) are required to have an Individual Health Plan (IHP), a signed Authorization to Administer Medication form for each medication, and their emergency rescue medications at school before the first day of school. If these are not received, the guardian will be called by the principal to pick up their student immediately. These forms and more information can be found on the LWSD website.

High School & Beyond Plan

HIGH SCHOOL AND BEYOND PLAN: Did you know that completion of the High School and Beyond Plan is a graduation requirement?! The RHS counselors will be presenting High School and Beyond Plan lessons and activities to students during their homeroom classes. Then, counselors will meet with students individually for a progress and reflection meeting. We are excited to hear about our Mustangs’ future plans!


IMMUNIZATIONS: Students are required to be in compliance with immunization requirements at the start of each school year. Immunization requirements are listed on the Department of Health website. Please check with your student’s health care provider to verify your student meets the state immunization requirements.

Medications at School

MEDICATIONS AT SCHOOL: If a student requires any prescription or non-prescription medication while at school, an Authorization to Administer Medication form is required for each medication. The form must be signed by both the guardian and the Health Care Provider AND the orders must match the medication exactly. All medications must be brought to the school by the guardian. At the end of the year, the guardian needs to pick up the medication. Emergency rescue medications will not be released until the end of the last day of school. Any medications not picked up at the end of the school year will be destroyed.

Off-Campus Passes

OFF-CAMPUS PASSES: The Off-Campus Pass ONLY applies to leaving campus during lunch. These passes are only available to juniors and seniors who have no fines and no discipline issues. Juniors and seniors may print an Off-Campus Application from our website or pick one up in the main office.

Parent Access

PARENT ACCESS: Stay informed and involved in your student’s education through Parent Access. This is the way you can access your student’s classroom and gradebook information, view their attendance, add money to their lunch account, pay their class fees/fines and sign up to volunteer. Just go to the Parent Access page on the district website for more information and to register.

Parking Permits

PARKING PERMITS: Parking Permit Applications for 2018-19 are available online and the Main Office.

  • Parking permit fees may be paid online beginning August 1st. Permit fees may be paid at the bookkeeping office beginning Monday, August 27th. The fee for a regular parking permit is $50.00 + $5.00 tax and for a part-time running start or carpool permit is $25.00 + $2.50 tax.
  •  Permits will be issued Monday August 27 - Thursday August 30 from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. and then again beginning Tuesday, September 4th.
  • Permits will only be issued to students with a completed 2018-19 Parking Permit Application form, a valid driver’s license (not a learner’s permit), no outstanding fines and a receipt for parking permit payment. Students must be present to receive the permit.
  • Permits will only be available while supply lasts.
  • Carpool applications must include at least two licensed drivers and both drivers must be present to receive a permit.
  • Part-time running start students (attending some classes at RHS) may buy permits to park at RHS for $25.00 + $2.50 tax.
  • Full-time running start students or motorcyclists may receive free permits. Full time running start students who do not complete the application and receive a permit are not allowed to park on the RHS campus during the school day.

School Lunch & Breakfast

SCHOOL LUNCH & BREAKFAST: Student breakfasts and lunches are available each day in our cafeteria. Please visit the Lake Washington School District website for daily menus, pricing, to add money to a lunch account, or to monitor your student’s meal history through Information on the Free or Reduced Lunch program can also be found at this site.
