Class Schedule Error

There will NOT be a schedule change request window this year.

If a student's 1st semester schedule reflects a period with no class or a period titled “SEE COUNSELOR,” the student must report to the counseling office during that specific period. A counselor will connect with the student and fill the empty period. If a student has a period with no class or a period titled "SEE COUNSELOR" in 2nd semester, the counselor will address this with you later in the fall.

Starting 9/3, RHS Counselors will review and edit schedule errors. If a student identifies a true error in their schedule, they will submit details though the 24-25 Student Schedule ERROR Edit Request form online (click here to access the form). The form will close on 9/6 at 4 p.m. Counselors will review student submissions to the error form and make appropriate edits. Students that submit the error form must still attend the classes assigned in their schedule. When/if a change is made, the counselor will email the student with the new schedule and the effective date.

Please refer to the examples below to identify true error situations, which will be addressed by counselors.

What are some examples of true errors?

•    Student who is missing a class required for graduation (especially during 11th and 12th grade)
•    Student missing an English class in their schedule
•    Student who took Spanish 1 last year, but isn’t scheduled for Spanish 2 this year

What are some examples of changes that would not be approved?
•    Student changing their mind about wanting to take a class
•    Student being placed into a class that was not requested
•    Student wanting to change a teacher or change a class period

Senior Schedules and Teacher Assistant (TA) Requests:
SENIORS that would like to request an early release (no 7th period) or a late arrival (no 1st period) may do so by completing the 24-25 Student Schedule ERROR Edit Request form. In addition to filling out the form, seniors must complete the RHS Late Arrival/Early Dismissal Contract and return to their counselor via email or by bringing the completed contract to the RHS Counseling office.

TA positions- for students who requested a TA position in the spring, please know that counselors are still working on matching TA and teacher requests. If a TA position works in your schedule, the position will be added to your schedule no later than Monday, 9/9. Please know that we are no longer accepting requests for TA positions.
