Earlier this week, staff, students and families at Redmond High School (RHS) were notified of an important update regarding the planned addition at their school. Due to extended design and city permitting timelines, we will be unable to meet our original project schedule.

On October 3, the Redmond High School Marching Band proudly unveiled their new uniforms during their Friday night Homecoming football game.

Over the summer, Brian Schnierer, chemistry teacher at Redmond High School, won the American Chemical Society’s Puget Sound Section 2025 High School Teacher of the Year award. The award is given to nominees who demonstrate quality in their teaching, an ability to inspire and challenge students, and extracurricular work in chemistry or a chemical science.

Over the summer, construction teams made progress on three major projects for the 2025-26 school year: rebuilding and enlarging Rockwell Elementary, and additions at Eastlake High School (EHS) and Redmond High School (RHS). These projects are funded by the 2022 Building Excellence Capital Construction Levy approved by voters.

Approximately 75 Lake Washington School District (LWSD) students were finalists or better at this year’s DECA International Career Development Conference.
