Celebrating School Board Appreciation Month

School Board Recognition Month

Every January, communities across the country pause to recognize a group of dedicated public servants whose work often happens behind the scenes but influences every student, every classroom and every school: our local school board members. School Board Appreciation Month is a chance to shine a light on these elected leaders who devote countless hours to ensuring that students have access to high‑quality education and that schools remain strong, safe and forward‑thinking.

The Lake Washington School District Board of Directors were recognized formally by Superintendent Holmen at the Monday, January 12, 2026, board meeting. Thank you, school board members!
